The Ghost Train

Mismatched travellers are stranded overnight at a lonely rural railway station. They soon learn of local superstition about a phantom train which is said to travel these parts at dead of night, carrying ghosts from a long-ago train wreck in the area. The travelers eventually get to the bottom of the things that go bump in the night. The Last Time I Saw Paris

After an absence of two years, Charles Wills returns to his favorite bar and reminisces about his love affair with Helen Ellswirth at the end of World War II. Charles was an army Lieutenant writing for Stars and Stripes at the time and she the daughter of a one-time rich man who has always lived a life of luxury. They are a study in contrasts - he is level-headed and serious while she is fun loving and carefree - but they eventually marry and Charles continues as a civilian reporter while writing the great American novel. His lack of success as a writer weighs heavily on him but but his fun-loving wife parties on. As time goes by they have a daughter but it doesn't change Helen's lifestyle. Growing ever more frustrated with his inability to get published, Charles also begins to drink heavily and he and Helen quickly grow apart. Following a tragedy, Charlie leaves but is now back in Paris not knowing what the future may hold.

Utopia

Heading for a newly inherited island, the boys are shipwrecked and marooned on an atoll which has just emerged from the sea. Along with their cook, a stowaway and a girl who is fleeing her fiancé, they set up their own government on the atoll. Uranium is discovered and world powers begin fighting over ownership of the island.

A cattle baron takes in an orphaned boy and raises him, causing his own son to resent the boy. As they get older the resentment festers into hatred, and eventually the real son frames his stepbrother for fathering an illegitimate child that is actually his, seeing it as an opportunity to get his half-brother out of the way so he can have his father's empire all to himself.

Zulu

On the January 22nd 1879 the British Army suffered one of its worst defeats when Zulu forces massacred 1,500 of its troops at Isandlhwana. A short time after the main battle a Zulu force numbering in excess of 4000 warriors advanced on a British hospital and supply dump guarded by 139 Welsh infantrymen. The film concentrates on this bloody 12 hour battle during which the British force, under their commander from the Royal Engineers who happened to be in the area building a bridge and happened to be senior to the infantry officer, won 11 Victoria Crosses. While taking some liberties with history the film follows reality fairly closely, including matching exactly the identities of the VC winners
