Major High gales along with exceptional high spring tides bought havoc to Felixstowe Ferry causing major destruction to house boats, cars were written off and boats left marooned, with the threat of another high tide the following day a major emergency was put into action, what had mother nature in store for us ?, would it be another 1953 scenario ?.

Filmed during 1989, the line still has signal boxes at Trimley and Derby Road with tokens being handed to the driver to proceed down the line, level crossing gates are manualy operated and the line has semaphore signals.


Class 101 DMU's take care of the passengers and class 37 locomotives handle the freight trains
